Itay Sharfi

Itay is a second year MBA student at the MIT Sloan School of Management. Before coming to Sloan, Itay worked as a technical leader for HP software, where he was responsible for developing the client for the world leading BTO product. Before HP software, Itay served in the Israel Defense Force at various technical and managerial positions.
Itay holds a B.Sc in computer science and math from Bar-Ilan university and a M.Sc in computer science.


Murali Govindaswamy

Murali is a second year MBA student at the MIT Sloan School of Management in the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program. He is a Fellow at the MIT Legatum Center. Murali has several years of telecom project management, technical leadership and product development experience. Prior to Sloan, he worked with Ericsson Wireless and Samsung, creating and delivering telecom products and services. In addition to his involvement with the MoMIT club, Murali is also actively involved with the MIT VC Conference.
Murali has a Master's in Computer Science from Iowa State University and an undergraduate degree from BITS, Pilani in India.


Ayusman Sarangi

Ayusman is a second year MBA student at the MIT Sloan School of Management and a member of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation program. At Sloan, Ayusman is focused on mobile, media and education. Prior to joining Sloan, Ayusman worked as a Computer Scientist at Adobe Systems in the Digital Video Group creating special effects for Adobe AfterEffects. On behalf of Adobe, he has proposed multiple patent pending solutions.
Ayusman studied Computer Science and Biology at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, India. He loves traveling, watching movies and learning Yoga.


Fan Jin

Fan is a second year student at MIT Sloan in the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program.  She is interested in mobile technology startups and product design.  In addition to serving as an officer of MoMIT, Fan is an organizer for both the MIT $100K Competition and the MIT MediaTech Club.  Prior to coming to MIT, she was a senior analyst at Lehman Brothers, working in strategy and new product development for its investment management division. 
Fan holds a B.S.E in Operations Research and Financial Engineering from Princeton University.


Shuba Swaminathan

Shuba is a second year MBA student at the MIT Sloan School of Management in the Entrepreneurship and Innovation track. Prior to Sloan, she founded a technology start-up in Silicon Valley called "Smart Shopping Solutions". Before that, she wore multiple hats at Micron Technology for 8 years as a member of their systems engineering group and was involved with designing and building flash memory systems such as Compact Flash cards and MMC cards. She saw a couple of the products through their life cycle from market research to mass production.
Shuba holds 5 US patents and is a co-inventor of the USB thumb drive.
Shuba holds a MS in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.


2008 Team

Shimon Hason

Shimon is a recent MBA graduate from the MIT Sloan School of Management. Shimon spent the summer of 2008 at McKinsey, helping an energy company facing higher demand and tightened budget. Before MIT, Shimon held the role of Director of Product Management at Amobee Media Systems, a Sequoia-backed software startup. He built the Product Planning group and repositioned and designed the product as the first holistic, carrier-grade mobile advertising platform. Shimon's efforts led to deals with tier-one operators such as Vodafone and Telefónica and helped Amobee establish a market leading position.  Before Amobee, Shimon was a Program Manager at Followap Telecommunications where he hired and managed a group of engineers developing the MMG product line, which generated revenues from a once-lost market segment by launching one of the first European's Microsoft Mobile services at mobile operators Swisscom and Hutchison's 3. Prior to that, Shimon worked in a Product Management role at Polycom in internationalizing and overseeing the development of the next generation video conferencing systems. Before Polycom, Shimon had an entrepreneurial experience as the co-founder of Oryx, leading a team developing the first computer-aided translation and information processing suite.
Shimon holds a B.Sc in Computer Science from University of Haifa and enjoys Italian and Middle-eastern cooking so as reading, running, and motorsport


Dev SenGupta

Dev is a recent MBA graduate from the MIT Sloan School of Management interested in technology entrepreneurship and sales. He was a co-president of the Mobile, Media and Internet club at MIT (MoMIT) and Managing Director of the 2009 Sloan Sales Conference. Prior to MIT Sloan, Dev spent four years at IBM, working first as a strategy consultant within IBM's Global Services division and then working in IBM's Corporate Strategy group in Armonk, NY. Dev spent the summer working Google's Online Sales and Operations group, developing a growth strategy for a key contextual advertising product.
Dev has as an AB in Economics from Harvard University.


Carlos De Arriba Sanchez

Carlos de Arriba is recent MBA graduate from MIT Sloan. He holds a BA in Economics by Salamanca University and has five years experience working in Strategic Planning in Marketing and Communication, with experience in Interactive Media. He has worked for global brands such as Vodafone and Nestle.
Carlos spent his summer internship at Banco Bilbao Vizcaya (BBVA) in New York, in the Corporate and Investment Banking division, working in cash flow modeling and credit risk analysis for major industrial M&A activity.
